Diddy Dodges Kettlebell Assault Charges In LA

The rapper, whose real name is Sean Combs, had been arrested at a college campus on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon.

P Diddy will not face assault charges, police have confirmed - two weeks after he allegedly wielded a kettlebell during a confrontation at a college campus.
The 45-year-old rapper, whose real name is Sean Combs but who has now changed his name back to his old moniker Puff Daddy, had been arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon and making terrorist threats.

He was visiting a University of California Los Angeles campus, where his son Justin plays football, when the incident took place on 20 June.
Although the Los Angeles County district attorney's office has declined to file felony charges, the possibility of a lesser misdemeanour charge remains.
At the time, a spokeswoman for Combs Enterprises said the hip-hop mogul was defending himself and his son. Nobody was seriously injured.
"We are confident that once the true facts are revealed, the case will be dismissed," she had added.
Jim Mora, UCLA head coach, called the encounter "an unfortunate incident for all parties".

Combs made an estimated $60m (£38m) last year.
On Tuesday, his first award appearance since the arrest became memorable for all the wrong reasons, after he fell over while performing.
