This woman finds some scary spots growing on her hand and she was surprised to find out what it was

Sometimes there are many forms of diseases that are scary to look at first since they manifest so easily and can look gross. These diseases may be harmful or nothing but harmless growths or manifestations on the body.
A woman observed some black ‘moles’ like growths on her hand. She didn’t mind them much thinking that they will go by themselves and forgot about them.
But then, gradually they started to become worst and more painful day by day.

1The growing black spots

Reddit user Gullibletrout shared images of little black spots on her wife’s left hand. The spots on her hand were little and black in color and were all over her fingers and inside of her palm.
They started out small, but kept growing. At first, they thought that the growths were blood blisters. It didn’t take long to get worse. As the days passed, the spots grew into something scarier and big spots filled with some liquid in them. Also they started to spread into different part of the hand and covered most of her fingers.

No relieve from any medication

She took some medicines for relieve, but the spots continued to grow and started to fill with some sort of liquid. The couple tried to remove them using wart remover. But the method proved to be ineffective and the spots continued to grow as before and started to change their color from black to a more dangerous looking green.

The wart remover actually reacted with the black spots and they became more prominent and started to develop some kind of openings on top of them.
“We couldn’t believe how quickly they’d grow and how quickly one would start. We would look at her hand in the evening and in the morning we would find another one starting; they even started spreading to other parts of the hand. Wart remover didn’t do anything and even made them look worse.” the Redditor said.

Final resort- surgery

At one point of time, the blisters like growths started to become septic like and a small opening opened on them.
He continued saying, “We went to a few different doctors. At one point, we saw a dermatologist who looked really freaked out and had to excuse himself from the room.” “We later found out he called another doctor whom we were referred to and was concerned it was end-stage melanoma.
“No one really had a clear cut answer. “She was in a lot of pain. It made it challenging to sleep and shower. I think the fear of not knowing what they were was worse than the pain. “She eventually went to a plastic surgeon who removed them surgically.”
Final resort- surgery
As mentioned after all the alternate methods failed in getting rid of the growths, the wife had to go to a surgeon and the surgeon removed the growths and bandaged her hand. The surgery also helped her get rid of the sharp pointing pain in her hand due to the growths.
The growths did not reappear after troubling his wife for well over a month.

What were the spots?

Though the doctors were not sure about what the growths exactly were, they believed that it was mostly Pyogenic Granuloma.
Pyogenic granuloma is a laceration that happens on the skin and looks like an overgrowth of tissue mostly caused due to irritation, bodily suffering or hormonal influences. It is regularly found to affect the gums and the skin and has also been found from the head to the thigh.
Pyogenic granulomas are skin developments that are small and commonly reddish in color. They have the tendency to bleed as they comprise a very large number of blood vessels. Due to this they’re also known as lobular capillary hemangiomas.

How can they be treated?

These growths are mainly seen to affect children and young adults, even though they can also grow in people of all ages. They can also manifest in pregnant women. This can occur due to the hormone changes, pregnant women go through during the pregnancy. They’re benign or noncancerous and can be safely detached through various means, commonly surgery.
