If You Bite Off The Skin Around Your Fingernails, You Need To Stop. Here’s Why.

1.We all know someone who just can't stop biting the skin around their fingernails, or maybe you do it! Some people chew from anxiety and do it unconsciously, others started as children and could just never stop.
2. But there are some people who are compulsive about it and keep biting until their fingers bleed. This behavior is often ociated with anxiety disorders. Many times they will bite and eat the skin around the nail and it can quickly start to look quite brutal.

3.Some think that it looks bad, but isn't harmful. But that's not the case. Biting your nails can quickly develop into a serious Dermatophagia, which, in extreme cases, can be dangerous for your nail bed and cause permanent damage

4.Not only do wounds around your nails allow many germs from your hands to enter your body, but bacteria in your saliva can cause infections on your fingers. Worst case scenario: You can get

5.If you chew your nails long enough, it will come to a point when you can't reverse the signs on your fingers. So it's best for anyone who bites their nails to quit sooner rather than later. Otherwise, your
fingers might start to look like this:

7 Healthy Ways to Deal With Anger

Anger is a part of life. We will all come into contact with a person, or a circumstance, that results in us feeling angry. But anger varies on a great scale, ranging from mild annoyance to intense rage. Studies have shown that due to environmental, genetic, and psychological factors, certain people are more susceptible to anger than others. Some people are noticeably angry, others more internally irritable.
Yet when anger becomes too strong it can grow out of context, and we are more incensed than what is considered to be normal. We must find ways to release anger before it multiplies within us. And while it is good to “release the rage” it must be done in ways that are both responsible and cathartic. In other words, we must find resourceful ways to deal with our anger that are also peaceful and beneficial for our health and for those around us. These are a few tried and tested tactics that we can keep with us in times of need.

7 Ways To Deal With Anger

1.Take 5/ Pause

Seemingly the most sensible of options is often the easiest and most rewarding. The first step is to recognize that the anger is happening. When you feel it bubble up, step away for a minute, pause, and breathe deeply from your diaphragm. Visualize something relaxing. Do this before having a reaction. You will thank yourself.

2. Cognitive rehabilitation

This means to replace negative, unhelpful thoughts with more positive, realistic ones. For example “I am so bad at this!” could be replaced with “Even though this is frustrating, anger will not help me right now.” Again use breathing techniques to pause and reassess.

3. Write

A great way to express yourself and release aggression is through writing. It might be the last thing you feel like doing in the moment, but if you can get into a habit of putting your pen to the paper and writing out how you feel, it can become a very helpful habit in times to come. You can tear up the end product if you wish! But getting it out is the main point. (Even if you scrawl really, really hard.)

4. Communicate

Verbalize your meaning. Say what you really wish to say. Listen to what is being said to you, and listen also to what you are really wishing to convey. Try not to let the anger take over (again, step 1). Even though we may feel defensive straight away, if we take the time to better understand the situation, we can get a far more peaceful and happy result.

5. Have a sense of humor

Silliness can be a great tool. And while it is not healthy to ‘laugh off’ and dismiss your feelings, having a mentally silly picture you can reach for in times of anger can help diffuse the heat. We aren’t talking sarcasm or bitter humour, which is also unhelpful. Just enough silliness to again be able to cool things down enough to deal with the situation rationally.

6. Exercise

Go for a run. Go for a walk. Go to a spinning class. Do anything that will get rid of that anxious energy that is building up inside you, that might otherwise explode in different areas. Release the hostility and just literally blow off the steam. Then see how you feel, when the anger has been physically exhausted.

7. Sleep it off

Don’t deal with things when you are tired. If you are grumpy or run down, you can easily snap or say or do things you don’t really mean. Get some rest. Let it cool down. Deal with it in the morning, when your feelings have moved somewhat. And they will. That’s the beauty of feelings. They always change.

How To Get Up Early When Mornings Make You Cry

Admit it. You’ve clicked on articles with titles like “10 Outrageously Successful People Share Their Morning Routines” and “How to Create The Best Morning Routine Ever.” You nod along enthusiastically to the admittedly sage (but often pretty obvious) advice contained within. Stop hitting snooze. Exercise. Eat a healthy breakfast. Meditate. Maybe you even follow that advice for a day or two. But a few days later, you’re back to your terrible morning habits.
You know what? That’s okay. Even the most basic morning routine only consistently works for morning people. And whether you’re a true morning person is determined by your genetics (or, in science class-speak, your sleep chronotype is genetically determined).
The rest of us have to live with snoozing too long and then rushing out the door with mismatched socks and un-ironed clothes. But even if you can’t change your fundamental self, you can optimize your habits to work with your genetics rather than against them.

Here are some key habits to foster that will make your mornings a million times more pleasant:

1. Find ways to prepare the night before.

Spend a portion of every evening preparing absolutely everything you need for the next day. You know you’re going to be awake until at least midnight anyway. Why not check tomorrow’s weather report and choose your outfit during that time?
Consider purchasing a small garment rack to hang your next day’s clothes. The monetary investment and a prominent placement in your bedroom will encourage you to use it. And for those who work out, exercise before dinner. If you shower before bed, you can even steam your clothes by hanging them next to the shower to kill wrinkles, eliminating the need to iron and allowing you to sleep in later.

2. Start your morning with something you love.

Instead of waking up and dreading the moment your feet have to touch the floor, find one quick thing to do every morning that fills you with joy and replaces hitting snooze.
This can vary widely by individual. Check your Instagram feed in bed. Read an inspirational work. Brew a cup of tea and skim the news. Heck, keep a cookie jar on your kitchen counter and enjoy a single cookie. But no matter what, strictly limit yourself to just 10-15 minutes of “joy time”–even if it means setting a timer.

3. Set reminders for your morning brain.

When you’re not a morning person it can be hard to remember to brush your teeth, let alone bring everything you need for the day. Stick reminders on the inside doorknob of your main exit using a Post-it or opaque masking tape and Sharpie with messages such as, “Take leftovers from fridge for lunch” or “Bring laptop to work.”
Your mind can be fuzzy first thing in the morning, so this is a great way to counteract forgetfulness as you head out the door.

4. Work out a more flexible schedule.

Negotiate a later start time with your employer (maybe by pushing back your end time). Not everyone will have such an understanding boss, but if you’re a top performer, you could make the argument about why you would be a more productive and happier employee with a later start.
Get creative about finding an agreement. If you absolutely need to be working by 8 a.m., see if you can work from home until lunch so at least you can avoid the chaos of morning rush hour.

5. Find a job you enjoy getting up for.

If you never feel enthused to go to work, chances are you haven’t found a career that lights you up…yet.
If you haven’t done the real work of exploring different careers, now is the time to start. Visit career websites, download helpful career exploration apps, and invest serious time and effort into this critical area of your life. People make their living doing an astounding range of things, and if you explore in the right places, you’ll find something that speaks to your individual interests and passions. Then getting up in the morning won’t be such a pain.
If you’re a night owl, chances are you’ll never love to get up with the sun, but you can make the process a little easier on your pre-caffeinated brain. It just takes some time developing the right habits for you.

What other tips are there for night owls who need to get up early in the morning? Share in the comments below!

7 Things All Boys Should Understand About Being A Man

Nowadays, the trend is that people don’t want to grow up. Just like in “Peter Pan,” boys do whatever they can to stave off the burden of manhood. Video games, sports, serial dating, not taking jobs seriously–this is all evidence of a growing trend of men trying to stay boys for longer than normal. But being a man is not all that bad. It actually comes with a lot of perks. For that reason, we have compiled a list of things that boys need to understand to become men.

Be humble and classy, because the world truly is neither

Once you get out into the world for real, you will notice that nearly no one can accomplish anything without taking pictures and talking about it. Men do not do this. Being a man is about achieving every day, succeeding in ways that only matter to you, and really, truly enjoying those successes only for yourself. Chances are you are never going to earn a parade for your work, and no one is going to name an award after you, and that’s fine. Do you job anyway.

Women are thoughtful, intelligent, and equal to men

A lot of dating culture boys learn going through college has them treating women like objects and has them thinking of dating as if it’s a game. Many boys will spend years acting in this way. But being a man is about recognizing the worth of the fairer sex–they are usually more level-headed and nurturing to men, and are definitely equal in every way. Loving a woman isn’t about owning her or winning her body in any way. It’s about recognizing her equality feeling privileged to share love with her.

Take care of the elderly, children, and animals

When becoming a man, it is important to learn to tend to those who need it. If you’re on a bus, give out your seat for the elderly. If you see a child struggling to reach something at the grocery store, help them grab it. If you see a lost dog on the street, catch it and return it. These are all small tasks that just help society run smoother, and they cost you very little.

Cooking and cleaning are essential skills

Boys are often thought of as slobs. But being a man means being able to take care of yourself. So learn how to pickup your clothes off the ground and make sure you can cook a dish or two. Eating boiled hot dogs over the sink gets old quickly, so start learning early.

Read books, watch movies, and learn about the world outside your experience

Being a man means knowing a little bit about history and being able to talk about it. It also means being able to talk about your favorite book or describe a scene from a movie you like. Any medium that offers a way to broaden your horizon is one you should be consuming.

Sometimes,you have to fight

Most tense situations can indeed be easily diffused with a joke or some calm talking. But other times, you have to fight. Being a man is about being able to recognize the difference between those two situations and being able to act accordingly. I’m not advocating that every conflict you have in a bar turn into a brawl; rather, I’m saying that a man knows which ones need to and which ones can be resolved in other ways.

Life isn’t about just getting things, but also maintaining things

This is a lesson I am still learn. Acquisition of prized objects or amazing goals may come easy to you, and that’s great. But being a man is about keeping that success going, or maintaining the objects that you obtain. Otherwise, things will fall apart, and you’ll be back at square one.
